There are several groups and a wealth of forums on this site, but they are not as active as they could be. Most everyone on this site is involved in the music business at some capacity. Most everyone need to brand, market and promote.

It has been my experience that the more you give the more you receive, therefore it makes sense and cents to share information, ideas, resources, links and contacts throughout the forums and groups on this site.

Remember we are in a global market place and you never know where you'll find that one person who will boost your business and career to the next level in your country and beyond. I'm currently negotiating about five different deals between three music business sites. Each of the people have said it was the amount and type of information I had on my profile page and how I participated in the forums that had them interested in working with me. Time will tell how much money will be made, but in the meantime I'm at least in position to make that money.

At the end of the day this post is to encourage everyone to go beyond merely putting up an image, but engaging in thought provoking conversation that will help others by natural law you'll also help yourself.

Emerging artist and producers stop thinking people owe you something or that you should get a deal because you're hot. It takes networking, building a buzz and working daily before you are worthy of advancing your business and career. If it was easy everybody would be rich and famous.

You are to blame for your success. You are to blame for the reasons that you'll become a billionaire. You are to blame for your increased networking at music conferences and music showcases.
